AIIM Michigan Board Biographies

Alex B Good, President

Alex Good has been a professional member / AIIM board member since 2007.  Alex has 20 years of service with Electronic Data Systems (EDS), an HP Corporation.  He has extensive technical and leadership experience in IT/IS spanning multiple industries with an emphasis in Operations, R&D, Project / Program Management, and Executive Leadership.  Currently, Alex manages a team of ECM Consultants within EDS, an HP Company, for their Consulting Services organization, focusing on mainstream COTS integration for document management, image management, content management, and reports management.  Alex has a M.B.A in Strategic Management and a double major in Computer Information Systems and Leadership from Davenport University.   He is certified in ITIL Foundations and has certifications from AIIM as an ECM and ERM Practitioner.  Alex is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

 

Greg Lavigne, 1st Vice President

Greg has served the Michigan AIIM Chapter for the past 7 years.  He is a graduate of the The University of Michigan with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.  Greg has been involved in the Information Technologies Industry for over 20 years.  Greg is currently working at Data Direction Inc., a local data processing service company where he is responsible for implementation of new technology as well as customer development and project management.

 

Cindy Geoffrey, 2nd Vice President & Past President

Cindy has been an active AIIM member and volunteer for over 18 years.  She has served the Michigan AIIM Chapter as President in 1994-1996, 2001-2003, 2005-2009 and other Officer roles.  Cindy has an extensive Enterprise Content Management background and has worked with several industry leaders.  She has been employed within Kodak's Document Imaging Group for 14 years and 2 years within Health Imaging.  She is currently an Enterprise Content Management Sales Specialist for IBM.  Cindy was honored at the National AIIM Conference in 2008 with the AIIM Distinguished Services Award.  www.ibm.com

 

Steve Maas, Treasurer

Steve Maas became a member of the AIIM Board in 2007. Steve has worked with large scale Imaging and Workflow systems for the past 11 years, leading both development and support teams. Systems that Steve worked with involved hundreds of thousands of scanned images per day, complex workflow systems, and large archive systems with magnetic, tape, and optical storage.  Prior to working with imaging and workflow systems, he worked with mainframe and client/server database systems. He has worked for the same bank his entire career, though it has changed its name from Standard Federal Bank to LaSalle Bank Midwest and now to Bank of America, and is currently an imaging architect.  Steve has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Western Michigan University.

 

Kathy Squillace, Secretary

Kathy has been an AIIM member since 1998 and has served on the board for seven years.  She has held several Board positions within AIIM Michigan Chapter.  Presently, she is serving as the Secretary.  For the last eleven years, she has gained extensive Business Processing Outsourcing experience with emphasis within the Content Management industry.  Most recently, she is a Document Management Consultant at Iron Mountain providing solutions to manage both the physical and electronic content management within organizations.  www.ironmountain.com

 

Steve Polasky, Director

Steve has been a member of AIIM since 1995.  His past AIIM activities include past chapter president, newsletter editor, assistance with 2 Michigan symposiums, and extensive membership database work for the Michigan Chapter.  Steve was recently honored to receive one of ten 2008 AIIM Distinguished Service Awards.  He has been involved in providing business solutions in the areas of CAD/CAM, Automated Voice Processing and Document Management since 1985.  Steve is currently a senior support rep with Clearview Software, based in Auburn Hills,  Michigan, supporting a leading edge Share Point based production ECM system with workflow applications for various clients in the insurance, and banking fields.   www.ClearviewECM.com

 

Harry Carollo, Director

Harry has been an active AIIM participant for over 7 years. He is currently employed as an Enterprise Content Management IT Specialist in IBM's software group working primarily within the Great Lakes region sales team. Prior to IBM Harry has been employed at Open Text and FileNet working with customers and prospects in bringing enterprise content management solutions to market as a product manager as well as solving customer needs as a technical solutions consultant. Prior to working within the ECM space Harry was part of Ernst and Young's management consulting practice within the critical technologies group. He has a B.A. from Michigan State University in Telecommunication with an emphasis in Information Technology.   IBM - Enterprise Content Management

 

Ken Cleary, Director

Ken is currently a Principal Engineer at ImageSoft, Inc., and has been with them since December 2006.  His responsibilities include requirements gathering, technical design, and development.  Prior to ImageSoft, Ken spent 11+ years in the telecommunications industry working as a technical lead for internal software implementations.  He graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems.  www.imagesoftinc.com

 

R. Ravi Shankar, Director

Mr. R. Ravi Shankar is a member of the AIIM Board since 2006.  R. Ravi Shankar has a Masters Degree in Management from National Louis University, Evanston, Illinois and is a Senior Sales Executive at HTC, responsible for the Publishing business and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services.  He has been an AIIM member since 1993.  Mr. R. Ravi Shankar brings extensive experience to HTC, specifically in the areas of document management, content creation, data conversion, customer relationship management, back office operations and management, and web development.  www.htcinc.com

 

Lee Schottenfels, Director

Lee, a lifelong Michiganian, has been involved with AIIM since 2001. His company, CPI Data Services (Compupacific) is a global BPO firm, headquartered in Plymouth. In his role as VP of Business Development, he has expanded CPI’s client base to companies in the health care, real estate, insurance and financial markets. He works with clients across North America on document management and data capture processes. Lee has a Masters in Services Administration from Central Michigan University.  www.compupacific.com

 

Greg Cook, Director

I have received my Bachelor’s of Science degree from Ferris State University. I have worked in the IS industry in general for 10 years in numerous vertical markets. I have 3 years in the document management arena with Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Co. in Lansing, MI. I have earned both my ECM Practitioner and ECM Specialist designations in 2008. I am currently working towards my ERM Practitioner designation. I am currently one of two co-conveners for our ECM vendor’s advisory panel. I have spoken at national conventions in regards to document management, workflow and email archive solutions. I have co-authored articles in both Integrated Solutions and ECM Connection magazines on the same topics.  www.mimillers.com
