Presents:

The Future of Information Management

Presented by the Michigan Chapter of AIIM

Wednesday March 9th, 2011

11:30 AM until 2:30 PM EST

Businesses are being transformed into knowledge based organizations with employees generating and receiving mountains of information, every day, every minute. This mountain of information has business value – if it can be effectively utilized. But this mountain of data is overwhelming organizations not prepared for it.

In the face of this data explosion, it's the management of that information that becomes imperative.  From creation of information to destruction there is an overwhelming need to manage information throughout its lifecycle. How do you find the relevant information quickly and easily?  Information has to be properly organized, no matter where it is stored, in order to be useful. The intelligence about the information allows systems to intelligently manage access and group information in ways which provide organizations more value. Without this intelligence, information is valueless.

Our guest presenter will be Bill Tolson, the author of two eBooks "the Know IT All's Guide to eDiscovery" and "The Bartenders Guide to eDiscovery" as well as the book "Email Archiving for Dummies".   Bill has been a featured speaker at many industry events including the Government Technology Conferences, AIIM 2009 and ARMA.  Bill has held senior management positions at Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Data Systems, StorageTek, and Iomega.
